What’s in a name?

15 Jan

Here’s a little snippet of a conversation Sweet Pea and I had last night during American Idol:

SP:  Asa?  That’s his name?  A-S-A is not a name.

Me:  Well, yes, that’s his name.  Pretty much anything someone can think of can be a name.

SP:  So Buttface is a name!

In other news, I got to explain the birds and the bees to Sweet Pea last night.  Oh, and she lost a tooth.

Big night at Funny Girl’s house…and all with Hubs out of town.  He always gets off scott free.

As long as SP’s name doesn’t become “Stinkyface” all is good. Any update on the bath issue………

You wouldn’t believe some of the names John came across on his OB-GYN rotation… apparantly one of his colleuges delivered a baby named Abcde, so the child could always spell it.

Wow – that does sound like a fun night at your house! You’ll have to let us know how she reacted to the birds & bees talk.

And, BTW, you can tell her that Asa is actually a biblical name (in 2 Chronicles). I’m pretty sure Buttface is not. : )

Omigosh I think SP & I could be bff’s as I know Buttface is indeed a name (as I used it liberally in my youth much to my mother’s horror.) Thanks for the morning laugh!
