English 101

7 May

I heard about a book on NPR yesterday that I am dying to read.  It’s called The Film Club.  It’s the true story of a father who let his son quit high school with two conditions:  no drugs, and they had to watch three films together (of the father’s choosing) each week.  There’s alot more to it than that, which is why I want to read the book, but from the interview both the father and son seem very intelligent.  Here’s the link to the story on the NPR website:  http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=90225967

What are y’all reading this week??

That book sounds a lot better than the crap called “TwiLight” that I’m reading these days…

I’m reading “Twilight” now and not quite as bitter about it as Erin. It really isn’t THAT bad (though not an intelligent read by any means). I just finished a book called “Before I Die” and it was really good.
